Living Waters Outdoor School
Perched near the pinnacle of Sugar Mountain, near Boone, NC, Lutherock provides an excellent setting for environmental and adventure based programming. We offer year-round program options and tailor our programming to each group’s needs. We can provide environmental, adventure and team-building curriculum a combination of all three!
We use an experimental education model to teach environmental awareness and to promote teamwork and community in middle and high school students. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our school offers the natural beauty of Lutherock’s 750 acres as an outdoor classroom.
We welcome public and private schools for overnight field trips, typically staying two to five days. We tailor our program to fit the goals of individual groups, ranging from an environmental science curriculum that meets the standard North Carolina course of study requirements to team-building exercises and adventure-based programming. We hope to welcome your group on our mountain soon!
